Artemisia annua elixir

While the magnificent common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is loved by many, her annual sister is still not as commonly known throughout modern culture.

And that is despite the fact that annual mugwort (also called annual wormwood od Sweet Annie) is one of the strongest natural antivirals and has a long history of use against Malaria and other severe conditions! 

It also posseses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant compounds and has shown effects in the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes and a variety of infectuous diseases.

Like other bitters, the spirit of Artemisia annua is cleansing & protective, and the plant itself is a delicate beauty with soft, feathery leaves.

This elixir has been carefully crafted with Artemisia plants homegrown in my garden.
