Walnut husk ink (brown)

Following ancient traditions, this ink is made from the black husks of walnuts in a slow process aligned with the seasons.

It is best used on watercolour or other thick, textured paper and darkens as it dries, resulting in a rich dark brown or lighter brown, depending on how much ink is used.

A clove and some drops of clove essential oil are have been added to each jar for preservation. Store in a cool place, keep out of direct sunlight and shake well before each use!
